1. What We Do

AURUM aggregates and displays indicative spot prices for precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium), energy (crude oil, natural gas), agricultural commodities, and foreign exchange rates. Our platform provides:

• Live prices updated every 60 seconds from global market feeds
• Geo-adaptive pricing — prices automatically shown in your local currency and unit (troy oz, gram, tola, etc.)
• City-level gold rates for 27 cities across India, UAE, USA, UK, Singapore, and more
• Historical charts with 1-day to 5-year views via Yahoo Finance data
• Live commodity news curated from global financial sources
• Gold arbitrage tables and cross-market price comparisons

2. Our Data Sources

AURUM aggregates publicly available market data. We are a data publisher, not an exchange, and we do not hold a direct exchange feed licence. Our prices are sourced as follows:

• Primary feed: Yahoo Finance, which carries exchange-traded futures (e.g. COMEX gold/silver, NYMEX/ICE energy, LME/COMEX copper, CBOT grains)
• Verification feeds: Metals-API and Tiingo, used as fallback and cross-checks for precious metals
• FX rates: ECB reference rates via the Frankfurter API, used to convert USD prices into local currencies
• Local retail rates (India/UAE): the international futures price plus a modelled local dealer premium — an indicative estimate, not a jeweller's quoted rate

Displayed prices are indicative futures-derived rates, refreshed approximately every 60 seconds during market hours and potentially delayed. They exclude dealer premiums, making charges, fabrication fees, taxes (VAT/GST/import duties), and broker commissions. Always verify with your licensed dealer before transacting.
